Kick-off Meeting for the VET4Social Impact Project

From the 8th to the 10th of April 2025, the partnership met for the first time in person to participate in the Kick-off meeting of the VET4Social Impact project. The project is a TVET-business joined-up initiative for vulnerable youth and women, which aims to boost local socio-economic development and social innovation in Egypt and Palestine. Hosted by VIS in Rome, the meeting brought together the project partners from Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Egypt, and Palestine to align on a shared mission and map out a powerful path forward.

From project management and ethical frameworks to stakeholder mapping, capacity building, and awareness strategies, each work package was explored in depth during the three-day meeting, laying a solid foundation for impact and collaboration. In particular, during the first day, partner organisations established the governance structure of the project management, assigning the roles and responsibilities of the Steering Committee, Project Management Unit, as well as the Advisory Groups. Operational and financial procedures were explained thoroughly.

During the second day, each Work Package was discussed in detail, setting up dates, qualitative and quantitative indicators, and Quality Assurance mechanisms. A detailed session was dedicated to the communication and Visibility of the project activities and results. In the third day, partners worked on the Monitoring and Evaluation Plan, identifying potential risks and mitigation strategies.

All partners will work together for the next three years to reinforce and transform the TVET ecosystems in Egypt and Palestine.
