VET4Social Impact Partners Strengthen Collaboration Through Online Steering Committee Meetings

Virtual – June to September 2025

The VET4Social Impact (VET4SI) project continues to make strong progress through a series of online Project Steering Committee (PSC) meetings held between June and September 2025, bringing together partners from across the Mediterranean region to coordinate actions, review milestones, and guide the implementation of the project’s key activities.

Convened by the VIS (Volontariato Internazionale per lo Sviluppo) and hosted online to ensure inclusive participation, the PSC sessions gathered representatives from CNOS-FAP, AKMI, CEEBA, CARDET, Bethlehem University (BU), the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), and the National Technical Center (NTC). These meetings reaffirmed the project’s shared commitment to advancing vocational education and training (VET) as a driver for social inclusion and community empowerment in Egypt and Palestine.

The first PSC meeting, held on June 4, 2025, laid the groundwork for coordinated implementation. Partners discussed communication strategies, dissemination activities, and the ongoing design of training modules under Work Package 2 (WP2).

AKMI presented the nearly completed layout of the project’s website, while CEEBA and BCCI outlined plans for the first Advisory Group (AG) meetings in Egypt and Palestine. Meanwhile, CARDET introduced the structure of the upcoming training modules for Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVE), ensuring alignment with local needs and the project’s social impact vision.

VIS provided updates on the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Plan, which will guide performance tracking, ensuring transparency and quality across all work packages.

The second PSC meeting, held on July 15, 2025, marked a decisive step in moving from planning to action.

During the session, AKMI announced the official launch of the project website (www.vet4socialimpact.eu), which now serves as a central platform for sharing project updates, deliverables, and blog posts. Partners discussed ongoing improvements, including language translations and layout adjustments for greater accessibility.

The meeting also reviewed the outcomes of the first Advisory Group meeting in Palestine, led by BCCI, and preparations for the Egyptian Advisory Group, coordinated by CEEBA. These bodies are central to ensuring that VET4SI activities remain relevant, participatory, and responsive to local contexts.

CARDET presented progress on the design of training modules, emphasizing a blended learning approach that combines online instruction with face-to-face exercises. Partners agreed to identify 50 participants and local trainers to prepare for the rollout of training sessions in Egypt and Palestine.

In addition, the PSC confirmed deadlines for the first round of financial, technical, and dissemination reports, fostering collective accountability and data-driven project management.

The third PSC meeting, held on September 16, 2025, focused on ensuring quality, coordination, and readiness for the upcoming training phase.

CARDET reported the completion of training content for the CoVE program, including modules on partnership creation, strategic planning, and institutional development. Local trainers from both Egypt and Palestine were selected to lead the sessions, which will combine in-person workshops in Bethlehem, Ramallah, and Cairo with online components.

CEEBA and BCCI provided updates on the progress of their respective Advisory Boards, confirming preparations for second-round meetings to be held before the CoVE training begins.

A dedicated quality assurance session, led by CNOS-FAP and VIS, introduced the project’s Quality Matrix system, ensuring that each deliverable meets rigorous standards and reflects the project’s shared vision of excellence.

Meanwhile, AKMI confirmed that the first VET4SI newsletter and the next blog post would be published by the end of September, continuing to highlight project milestones and promote community engagement.

The three online meetings demonstrated the strength of cross-border cooperation and the partners’ shared determination to create sustainable, inclusive impact through vocational education. By fostering regular coordination, transparent communication, and participatory decision-making, the VET4Social Impact consortium is setting a benchmark for collaborative project management.
